Labourer held for raping 4-year-old in Noida

A 24-year-old labourer allegedly raped a four-year-old girl near her home in a village adjoining Sector 49 of Noida on Thursday afternoon. The accused, identified as Prem Deep, has been arrested. He was not only closely acquainted with the child's family but even lived in the same house.A shocked father of the child told DNA: "She was alone at home on Thursday when Deep came home from work. On finding her alone, he locked the house and raped her."He then fled from the house.

When the family returned home, they found the girl in a corner of the house. "I came back around 7 in the evening and found her crying in a corner of a room. I tried to talk to her. She then narrated the entire ordeal to us," he said.

The child was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors confirmed sexual assault.

The victim's father, who works as a labourer, said: "We had good relations with Deep. Our daughter often went out with him. We never expected such kind of an act from him. He had been living with us for the last six months." On the basis of the police complaint, Deep was traced and arrested on Thursday night. He confessed to the crime during questioning."The traced him to the Barola village. He has been taken into custody and a case of rape has been registered against him," Vinay Kumar Singh, Station House Officer, Sector 49, said. The police produced the accused before the court and sent him to jail on Friday.
