England's youngster Oliver 'Ollie' Pope is all set to make to his test cricket debut on Thursday in the Lord's test match against India. Pope, who plays for Surrey in county cricket, will replace Dawid Malan in the England line up for the match.

However, Virat Kohli and his men don't plan on letting him enjoy the moment too much. When asked about the selection of Pope in the team, the Indian captain said that it was a massive development in the young man's career. However, he sarcastically asked Pope to not shine much at Lord’s.

“I would just say enjoy the occasion, but don’t get too many runs. It is a big moment for him, but honestly, I have not seen him bat or seen how he goes about things, I am sure if he is selected to play for England he is supposed to be very good,” Kohli said in the pre-match press conference.

Pope has been in prime form in England’s County Championship scoring 684 runs in eight matches at an average of 85.50. The The 20-year-old has notched three centuries to go with one half-century. His highest score of 158 came against Yorkshire at Kennington Oval, Surrey’s home ground, in London.

The English team management also drafted in Chris Woakes, who recovered from the knee and quad injury, in their squad. They have announced the names of 12-man squad for the match.
