Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s grand wedding celebrations culminated with a reception, which was replete with a lot of masti and naach-gaana, at a five-star hotel in Mumbai. After sporting bridal finery in the morning, the fashionista opted for a graphic Anamika Khanna lehenga for the evening do, while her husband, Anand, sported a bandhgala with sneakers. The newly-weds had eyes only for each other while posing for the shutterbugs. The crème de la crème of the film industry turned up to congratulate them. Politicos, industrialists and family friends, too, were on the guest list.

COUPLES MADE A STATEMENT
Love was definitely in the air as many B-Town jodis made a grand entry. While Shah Rukh Khan, who looked dapper in a black bandhgala, held wife Gauri’s hand on the red carpet, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were a vision in white. Shahid Kapoor and Mira gave us major fashion goals as they posed together. Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna, in an ethereal white chikankari salwar kameez, made for one good-looking couple.
Rumoured lovebirds Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who will be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s next, opted for desi ensembles in bright yet soothing colours, which were perfect for the festivities on a hot, summer night. Varun Dhawan was spotted with girlfriend Natasha Dalal.

GETTING INTO THE GROOVE
Ranveer Singh, Sidharth Malhotra, Aditya Roy Kapur, Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan made solo appearances. Sonam’s buddies put up a special performance for her on Swag Se Swagat from Tiger Zinda Hai. Karan Johar had the audience cheering for him as he showed off some mean moves while dancing to Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’s title track. Father-of-the-bride, Anil Kapoor was on the dance floor till late in the night. He had SRK, Salman, Varun, Ranveer and nephew Arjun Kapoor shaking a leg with him to the various chartbusters that were being played. SRK and Salman even coaxed the usually reticent Sunita Kapoor to join them on the stage for a song. Anand and Sonam mingled with the guests after a cake-cutting ceremony. Then it was time for them to let their hair down and get on the dance floor. The fun and festivities went on till the wee hours, making this a night to remember.
