'RN Kao: Gentleman Spymaster': Karan Johar to adapt Nitin Gokhale's book on RAW founder for big screen

Karan Johar announced on Twitter that he will be making a film based on Nitik Gokhale's book R.N. Kao Gentleman Spymaster.

Karan Johar apart from completing the pre-production work of his upcoming directorial, Takht is producing several films. His last release was Good Newwz which entered the Rs 100 crore club. KJo's upcoming films under his home banner Dharma Productions include Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship, Gunjan Saxena, Sooryavanshi, Brahmastra, Shershaah, Dostana 2 to name a few. Today, Karan took to his social media pages and announced a new project.

Yes, the ace filmmaker is all set to back a movie based on the life of R. N. Kao, who was known to be a spymaster and was also the first chief of India's external intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing. The film is adapted from the book R.N. Kao Gentleman Spymaster written by Nitin A Gokhale. The cast is yet to be announced.

Karan tweeted the announcement which read as 'Dharma Productions & Still and Still Media Collective Present The Untold Story of the Real Life Indian Spymaster - Rameshwar Nath Kao. An adaptation of the book "R.N. Kao Gentleman Spymaster" written by Nitin Gokhale, the film will tell the story of Kao who founded India's external intelligence agency - R&AW and how he went on to become a success story in the world of international espionage.'
