Abhishek Bachchan finally dropped the much-anticipated trailer of his comeback film - 'Manmarziyan' on August 9. Ace filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who is credited for bringing dark humour to Bollywood, has tried his hands in the romantic genre this time and we could not be more impressed.

The three-minute-long video introduces us to the film's lead characters - Rowdy Romeo Vicky (Vicky Kaushal), rebellious Rumi (Taapsee Pannu) and modern-day Ram Robbie (Abhishek). Their complicated love-triangle instantly reminds you of films like 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Tanu Weds Manu' and 'Humty Sharma Ki Dulhania' but the neon-hued frames, edgy characters and the small-town setting, unique to both Anand L Rai and Kashyap's films, somehow set 'Manmarziyan' apart.

Vicky Kaushal just had us at hello. He might not be the one walking away with the 'heroine' but his whacky-Romeo avatar is just too good to be missed. And, that hairstyle. God!After playing a sober, Gujarati guy in 'Sanju' and an ideal husband in 'Raazi', Vicky makes us root for him with his rowdy act.

'Manmarziyan' brings back Abhishek Bachchan to the big screen after a gap of two long years and does he make the most of it? Hell, yes! He is just perfect in the role of an ideal Indian husband - Robbie. You instantly develop a liking, and perhaps even sympathy, for this guy.

Taapsee is brilliant as Rumi, a modern-day woman torn between her commitment-phobic lover and her husband, who she doesn't love. Talking about the film, Taapsee had earlier told IANS, "It is a typical Anurag Kashyap style of love story, where you do not have black and white characters. Everyone has certain flaws...It's a beautiful mix of the different worlds of filmmakers Aanand L Rai and Anurag Kashyap."

The film is set to hit the screens on September 14.
