Here’s Alia Bhatt in the Plain Jane avatar of a Kashmiri woman for her next outing — Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi.

The actress plays a Pakistani army officer’s wife, who passes on crucial information to the Indian intelligence from across the border.

The shoot for the film, based on Harinder Sikka’s Calling Sehmat and starring Vicky Kaushal as Alia’s husband, is already underway. Alia has slipped into the skin of the spy’s character, and this will be a de-glam look for her after Highway and Udta Punjab.
