SMS traffic police to register complaints in Bangalore

To empower citizens with more information on traffic-related harassments, the traffic police have started the SMS short code 52225. Harassed commuters can file police complaints against autorickshaw drivers who overcharge and refuse a ride by sending SMSes to 52225.

Many parking lots have already been linked to the Traffic Management Centre (TMC) and many more will be connected to the system. People can call 24-hour hotlines 2558 8444 and 2558 8555 for traffic-related queries, suggestions and complaints.
