Parking banned around Chinnaswamy stadium tomorrow

Bangalore traffic police have banned parking in some major roads around the venue between 10.30am to 11pm.

In view of the ICC World Cup day-and-night cricket match between Australia and Kenya at Chinnaswamy stadium on March 13, the city traffic police have banned parking in some major roads around the venue between 10.30am to 11pm on that day.

In its advisory, the traffic police appealed all cricket fans to use the public transport system to reach the stadium as there would be very little space for parking around the stadium.

Members and spectators should park their vehicles either inside the Kanteerava Stadium parking lot or on the first floor of the Shivajinagar bus station.

The roads where parking will be banned are: Queen’s Road between CTO Circle and Queen’s Circle, MG Road from Anil Kumble Circle to Queen’s Road, Link Road between MG Road and Cubbon Road, roads on all sides of the stadium, Central Street, the entire stretch of Cubbon Road, Madras Bank Road from SBI Circle till Ashirvatham Circle, entire Museum Road, Kasturba Road from Queen’s Circle to Hudson Circle and Vittal Mallya Road from Siddalingaiah Circle RRMR Road junction.

Parking for spectators will not be allowed on BRV Grounds as the Metro work is in progress. The stretch on King’s Road from Bal Bhavan till high court gate inside the Cubbon Park will not be open for parking. Parking at BRV Grounds will be allowed only for official vehicles and vehicles of services required for the cricket match.
