Both the teams trained, planned and executed various drills for what would be helpful in countering insurgency and terrorism.
The prestigious joint military training exercise between the Indian and the United States military was held at Chaubattia Military Station at Ranikhet, Uttarakhand. The training exercise started off on September 14 and is supposed to go on till September 27.
This was the 12th in the series of joint combat training, which started in the year 2004 under US Army Pacific Partnership Program. Strengthening and broadening interoperability, this exercise will be centred in training the forces in counter insurgency and counter terrorism operations. 225 army personnel participated in 2016's joint exercise.
In 2015, the exercise was conducted at Joint Base Lewis McChord in Washington.
