Vivek Oberoi had claimed that Salman Khan threatened him for dating Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
It has been 16 years since Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi had a public brawl over Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The controversy among them however still continues. Vivek Oberoi has especially spoken about the incident at more than one occasion.
Vivek Oberoi had called for a press conference back in 2003, when he claimed that Salman Khan threatened him over having a relationship with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The incident changed Vivek Oberoi's life overnight, and he is still in news because of something that happened 16 years back.
The actor, who is currently promoting his upcoming controversial movie 'PM Narendra Modi', spoke about Salman Khan once again at an interview. The actor in fact asked the 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' actor a question which has stuck with him for probably the longest time.

Even though there is no proof of this, Vivek Oberoi claims that Salman Khan called him 41 times and threatened to kill the 'Saathiya' actor. Vivek then called for a press conference making all the claims against the superstar.

Vivek Oberoi, when he appeared on Farah Khan's show later, revealed that even though he went lengths for Aishwarya, she never appreciated him. In fact the actor even hinted that the press conference was at her insistence.

Vivek Oberoi has more often than not mentioned about Salman Khan and the incident, especially during his movie promotions. He told Mumbai Mirror in 2017, “When my personal life got messed up, I couldn’t keep my eye on the ball. Even if I gave a hit, work wouldn’t follow. Shootout at Lokhandwala became a huge hit, but I sat at home for a year after that.” The actor is currently in news for his upcoming movie 'PM Narendra Modi'.
