‘Obama is a terrorist, not Hafiz Saeed’

Lahore Bar Association (LBA) President Chaudhary Zulfiqar Ali has said American President Barack Obama is the terrorist, not Jamaat"ud- Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saaed.

He condemned the US decision to impose a 10 million dollar bounty on Saeed’s head and added that the former challenged Pakistan’s honour by branding Saeed a terrorist.

He was addressing lawyers at Aiwan-e-Adl, highlighting the unscheduled loadshedding, sectarianism in Gilgit, murder of a lawyer Abdusatar Gill in Haroonabad and against the injuries sustained by another lawyer Rao Ashfaq during a robbery at Nawankot.

Ali claimed bloodshed, anarchy, starvation and bewilderment prevail in Pakistan and neither the mosques nor any human life is secure due to bad governance, The Express Tribune reports.

He criticized the ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) for being reluctant to secure electricity from Iran and China.

He warned that the lawyers would observe a wheel jam strike if the NATO supply routes were re-opened, and inflation continued to prevail in the country.
