The government today said there have been instances of violation by Pakistan of the privileges and facilities which officials of Indian high commission and members of their family are entitled to.
"There have been instances of violation by Pakistan of the privileges and facilities to which officials of high commission of India, Islamabad and members of their families are entitled under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relation, 1961," external affairs minister SM Krishna said in a written reply in Lok Sabha.
He said the government of India has taken up with the government of Pakistan all such instances and has reminded
Pakistan about its commitments under the Vienna Convention.
"Government remains committed to taking all necessary measures for the safety and security of the personnel in
Indian Missions abroad," he said.
