Indonesia has given $2 million to Japan to help its emergency response following the country's devastating earthquake and tsunami last week, chief economic minister Hatta Rajasa said on Thursday.

Japan is not yet asking for more coal supplies from Indonesia to meet its energy demand after the quake crippled a nuclear power plant, said Rajasa.
