Eleven days prior to the United States Presidential election, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump proposed the idea for the election to be cancelled.

Even after defeat in all the three Presidential debates, Trump has been on Clinton's tail as far as the polls conducted by the news agencies suggest. But it is highly unlikely that his latest campaign speech at Toledo, Ohio, is going to do him good.

While he was speaking at an electoral rally at Toledo, Ohio, Trump said, "Just thinking to myself right now, we should just cancel the election and just give it to Trump."

He said this while criticising the trade policies of his rival, Hillary Clinton. "Her policies are so bad. Boy, do we have a big difference," Trump added.

However trivial this banter may sound, this comment comes with the backdrop of Donald Trump disregarding the veracity and legitimacy of the Presidential election, as his numbers started tumbling down in the polls.

He has not only alleged that the election was "rigged" with the media pushing for Hillary Clinton, he also hinted that, if the result of the election does not go in his favour, he might not even accept it.

Besides his comments on the election process, Trump has also found himself tangled in multiple cases of alleged sexual harassment, as well.

How that turns out for him, will only be evident after the election day, November 8.
