Virginia journalist shooting: Suspect shoots himself after being confronted by law enforcement

It has not yet been confirmed whether he is wounded or has been killed by the self-inflicted gun shot.

The suspect, Vester Flanagan, who was being pursued by law enforcement after he shot and killed two journalists in Virginia during a live TV broadcast has shot himself after being confronted by the officials, according to reports.

It has not yet been confirmed whether he is wounded or has been killed by the self-inflicted gun shot. 

Flanagan, an ex-employee of the same TV station the other journalists were from also posted video of the shooting from his angle on Twitter. His Twitter account has been suspended.

Two television journalists were shot and killed in Virginia on Wednesday morning while conducting a live television interview, their station, WDBJ7 said. The incident occurred during a live broadcast in Bedford County, when shots could be heard, sending the reporter and her source screaming and ducking for cover. Jeffrey A Marks, general manager of WDBJ-TV, identified the two killed as Alison Parker and Adam Ward.
