Test discard Yuvraj Singh (India Blue), Dinesh Karthik (India Red) and Subramaniam Badrinath (India Green) were on Tuesday named skippers for the for NKP Salve Challenger Trophy in Indore from October 8-11.

Dashing Karnataka batsman Robin Uthappa, Uttar Pradesh left-arm seamer Rudra Pratap Singh, all-rounder Irfan Pathan of Baroda are some of the players who would be eager to make a mark.
Irfan’s elder brother Yusuf, who last played an ODI against Sri Lanka at Harare, will also get a chance to show his big-hitting prowess. Similarly, former India U-19 wicketkeeper Shreevats Goswami, Karnataka batsman G Sathish, Punjab leg-spinners Sarabjit Ladda and Rahul Sharma have also been rewarded.
Ambati Rayudu, who recently announced he will ply his trade for Baroda in the upcoming Ranji season, is also back in the mix.
