Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has refused to discuss his future after another shock defeat to Blackburn Rovers, losing 3-1, even as club fans clamour for Kenny Dalglish.

"I'm depressed enough about the performance and the result. I'm not prepared to talk about my future," Hodgson said.

"I've no comment to make and I don't intend to answer any questions on the subject," The Sun quoted him, as saying.

Steven Gerrard pulled one back, but blew a chance to set up a grand finish as he blasted a penalty over the bar.

Hodgson said: "Unfortunately when you are Liverpool and you lose away to Blackburn there is nothing you can say to put a positive slant on it. It's a really, really bad day. There's not much more I can say."

"All I can do is say to the fans that, however they're feeling, I can assure them the feeling is equally as depressed in the dressing room. My feelings are disappointment and frustration, particularly for the fans who gave such good support," he added.
