Australian fast bowler Nathan Bracken has been inundated with offers from several clubs to become a Twenty20 specialist since losing his Cricket Australia contract.

Bracken’s manager, Rob Horton, said he has received calls from agents representing three England and Ireland county teams.

“There’s plenty of interest internationally to sign him for the T20 and one-dayers. I’ve been advised by English agents to expect more calls. Nathan is still seen as a prized asset,” The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Horton, as saying.

Horton further said he will meet Cricket New South Wales Chief Executive Dave Gilbert to discuss Bracken’s future with the state.

Meanwhile, Bracken said he was stunned by the support he has received from the public since he missed the CA cut.

“I've had texts, phone calls, there is hundreds of messages on Facebook and people have pulled me up on the street to commiserate. Of course I'm disappointed,” Bracken said.

“I thought with the high amount of one-day cricket and the World Cup in India this year, that my chances of getting a contract were pretty good. Normally World Cup years favour the one-day players, but it didn't go to plan,” he added.
