Manchester City has promised a staggering 9,000 pounds in bonus to every player if they are able to beat defending Premier League champions Manchester United in their match on Sunday.

The bonus system means that if the Sky Blues are able to beat United, owner Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed will have to dish out 99,000 pounds to pay the starting line-up, and another 27,000 pounds if all three substitutes are used.

Manchester City's bonus system is by far the biggest in the Premier League, outstripping the 5,000 pounds paid at Chelsea and 4,000 pounds at United.

City has already paid their players an astounding 459,000 pounds in bonuses this season, News of the World reports.

Club’s bonus structure have been a boon to regular starters like Shay Given, Kolo Toure and Craig Bellamy, who have already bagged an extra 36,000 pounds each.

City's players have been also promised a 200,000 pounds per player, if they manage to win the Premier League title, with further incentives for FA Cup and the Carling Cup glory.
