Lok Sabha congratulates Saina Nehwal

The Lok Sabha today congratulated badminton champion Saina Nehwal for winning the three Super Series badminton tournaments.

Amid thumping of desks, speaker Meira Kumar said these victories have catapulted Nehwal to the Number 2 position in the world ranking which is a unique achievement in the history of Indian badminton.

"These achievements are a matter of national pride and a source of inspiration for budding sportspersons of our country," she said.
