Of late cricketer Yuvraj Singh has been in the news for all wrong reasons, like lack of fitness, failing form and involvement in a drunken brawl in West Indies. However, Yuvraj wants to put all that behind him and focus only on the Asia Cup cricket tournament that starts in a few days.

He says. “People hit at me with speculative news about parties, me putting on weight and lack of fitness on the field. But they did not see that I was coming out of an injury and I can’t be a agile mover on the field like Jonty Rhodes in a day. But now it’s time to look ahead and win the Asia Cup. I am returning to my best shape. I will let my bat do the talking now.”

The cricketer also dismisses rumours of a spat with his Punjab team owner Preity Zinta or talks about playing for Nita Ambani’s Mumbai team. “My heart and soul is with Punjab, my motherland. I will only play for it. As far as Preity is concerned, we have shared great moments and I had no problems with her and vice versa. If there was any problem she would have spoken to me,” he says.

So is Yuvraj dating someone now? He says, “Everyone has a personal life and I have mine too. It is best not to talk about it as my focus is only on cricket.”
