A Briton won £6,50,000 (about $1 million) on a £10 stake on the football World Cup games.

Mike McNally, 29, laid five £2 bets with an online bookie. This allowed him to enter a contest to predict the outcome of every match, The Sun reported Monday.

He got 36 right to win the prize.

By the time of the final match between Holland and Spain, he and one other person were level after calling 35 of the 63 matches.

Mike went on to correctly guess that Spain would win, while his rival had wagered on Holland.

"I was speechless when I learned I'd won. I just wish England could have performed as well as I did," McNally was quoted as saying.
