Minister of state for external affairs Shashi Tharoor, a Twitter celebrity, has not registered his presence on the social networking and micro-blogging site ever since he got entangled in the Kochi IPL row.

With over 7,15,000 followers on Twitter, Tharoor was a prolific user of the site, posting at least three to four times daily.

But since Wednesday, Tharoor has gone silent on Twitter. His last line was a note that he was "going live" on NDTV channel to give his side of the IPL controversy.

IPL commissioner Lalit Modi had alleged that Tharoor had asked him not to reveal the ownership pattern of a consortium that won the IPL Kochi franchise.

One of the members of the winning consortium is Sunanda Pushkar, a close friend of Tharoor.

Tharoor has stoutly denied the allegation, and his penultimate post was a link to his statement of April 13.

Similarly, Modi, his antagonist in the saga, has gone silent on Twitter even longer, since Sunday.

Modi's last post was five question marks, in response to a query from a Twitter user.
