Amardip Sinh Malik of Meerut produced a Herculean effort to establish a new course record and take the lead in round one of the BILT Open.

On the day when most of the top players struggled to cope with the pace of the Karnataka Golf Association (KGA) course, thanks to overnight rain, Amardip Sinh Malik of Meerut produced a Herculean effort to establish a new course record and take the lead in round one of the BILT Open.
Malik fired an eight under 64 and broke the previous course record of seven under 65 which was jointly held by Jyoti Randhawa, Amandeep Johl and Harendra Gupta. He now enjoys a three-stroke lead over Delhi’s Shamim Khan who signed a card of five under 67 to end the day in second place.
