Fans in the US have not forgiven him for leaving even though he is less than halfway through a five-year deal worth 25 million pounds a year to try and be the face of the MLS.
"David has had and still has a good relationship with all of us. He was very useful when he wore our shirt," The Mirror quoted Leonardo, as saying.
"David is a very intelligent player and there is nothing strange in saying he could re-enter my plans because he can play in any system," he added.
Beckham wants to go back to Europe in the winter to keep alive his hopes of playing in next summer's World Cup finals, as England coach Fabio Capello has warned he must be playing top-level football to be in the frame.

But his first return match at Galaxy's home ground, a friendly against AC Milan, sparked more angry jeering.
