Visitors are thronging a sweet shop in Kolkata to buy sweets depicting the country's cricket team.

Models of bats, balls and Indian cricketers made of sweets were put on display to support the team in World Cup 2015.

Big models of skipper MS Dhoni, batsman Virat Kohli and bowler Mohammed Shami, made of sweets, attracted customers to the shop.

Shop owner Kesto Haldar said he had made the sweets to support the team.

"We have made small models of balls, world cup trophy, wickets and bats. Small kids come to our shop to see these models and buy them," said Haldar.

The sweets would be available till the time the tournament is going on.

The shop also displayed banners of various cricketers and workers at the shop were dressed up in the Indian jersey.

"I am buying a bat from here for my son," said a customer Sombonath Sadhu.

India has won all seven matches on their way to the semi-finals and, with a bowling attack unrecognisable, will face co-host Australia.

India and Australia will play next Thursday for a spot in finals.
