Australian domestic cricketer Joe Burns has been brought in place of injured Mitchell Marsh to play for Australia in the Boxing Day Test against India in Melbourne.
The Queensland batsman, who has averaged 42.54 in 45 first-class games, has been added to the 13-man squad to play in the third Test in Melbourne.

Coach and selector Darren Lehmann said that it would give them 'flexibility' and 'a chance to play a guy who was young', adding that Burns was an 'aggressive player who loves playing the game', the Daily Telegraph reported.
Marsh, who injured a hamstring in last week's Gabba Test, is expected to make a return in the fourth Test in Sydney starting on January 6.
