Asia Cup schedule announced, India to play Pakistan on February 27

India will open their campaign against Bangladesh on February 24. Then they will play Sri Lanka on March 1.

India and Pakistan are set to play each other on February 27, in the 2016 Asia Cup Twenty20 tournament.

The Asia Cup will be held in Bangladesh from February 24 to March 5, 2016. The schedule for the series has been announced, and India's first game happens to be against Pakistan.

India will open their campaign against Bangladesh on February 24. Then they will play Sri Lanka on March 1. Then on March 3, India will play one among Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Oman and United Arab Emirates. 

The minnows will take on each other in the qualifying stage and the topper will proceed to the next stage, to join the heavyweights.

The Asia Cup final will be held on March 5. All matches are to be played at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium, Mirpur. 

This is the first time that the Asia Cup is being played in a Twenty20 format. Following the Asia Cup, the ICC World Twenty20 begins on March 8.

Note: TBD means the qualifying team among Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Oman and United Arab Emirates.
