Xiaomi Redmi 3s to launch in India tomorrow

Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Xiaomi Redmi 3s in India tomorrow. The company sent out an invite and confirmed that it would disclose price and availability at 12PM on August 3. The event will be live streamed on the company website as well.

The device was launched in China last month. It is available in two variants, namely 2GB RAM + 16GB internal storage at at CNY 699 (approximately Rs 7,000) along with the 3GB RAM + 32GB internal storage at CNY 899 (approximately Rs 9,000). It will be available in grey, silver and gold colour variants.

In terms of specifications, the device features a 5-inch HD IPS display with a 720x1280 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. The device includes expandable storage of up to 128GB via microSD card. Running Android 5.1 Lollipop with MIUI 7 on top, the device sports a 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP front facing camera. It also packs in fingerprint sensor at the back.

Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi, GPRS/ EDGE, Bluetooth, GPS, Bluetooth, Glonass, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and microUSB. A 4100mAh battery completes the package.
