Leaked: Xiaomi Mi MIX Nano with 5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 821

Xiaomi introduced the Mi MIX smartphone with a 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio and a near bezel-less display in China last month. Look like the company now plans to launch a smaller variant of device which will be termed Xiaomi Mi MIX ​Nano.

Compared to the 6.4-inch display on the Mi MIX, the smaller variant will feature a 5.5-inch full HD display with over 90 percent screen-to-body ratio with a ceramic body. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 821 processor with 4GB of RAM. It will most likely include an internal storage of 64GB. The device will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow, with MIUI on top. The expected price is CNY 3,000 (approximately Rs 30,000). At the moment, there are no details regarding the launch for the Mi MIX Nano.

On the other hand, the Mi MIX features a 6.4-inch display with a 2040x1080 pixel resolution. It bears a 17:9 aspect ratio display with is said to take up almost 91.3 percent of the front. Of course, the device has no physical buttons and offers on screen controls. The Mi MIX is made up of a ceramic back, a ceramic frame along with a ceramic buttons as well.

It is powered by a 2.35GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor. It is available in 4GB/6GB RAM variants and in 128GB and 256GB storage variants. The latter gets an 18k gold trim on the rear camera and fingerprint sensor as well.

It comes equipped with a 16MP PDAF rear camera along with a 5MP front facing camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE, GPS/A-GPS and NFC. A 4400mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 completes the package.
