A desktop version of the instant messaging service for smartphones comes to Windows PC’s and Macintosh computers.

A desktop app version of WhatsApp comes to PC’s running Microsoft's Windows 8 (or higher) and Apple's Macintosh computers running OS X 10.9+ (or higher).
Until now, WhatsApp was only available on PCs and Mac computers via an Internet browser.
1) Click here to visit WhatsApp's official website
2) Click on ‘Mac OS X 10.9 and higher’ or ‘Windows 8 and higher’, depending on which system you are using.
3) Once the download is finished, click on the WhatsAppSetup.exe file and complete the installation.
4) Click on the app icon and scan the QR code with your smartphone to sync the mobile version of your WhatApp to the desktop version of the app.
5) Start chatting :)
Users should keep in mind that like the mobile version, users will need a constant Internet connection for the app to work
With the app version of WhatApp, users will no longer need to have to keep an extra tab opened in their web browser.
