The mask-wielding Tapu Koko, battery creature Charjabug and its evolved form Vikabolt, dragon-esque Drampa and Piranha-shaped Bruxish were introduced in the July 1 trailer.

So too were fuzzy buzzy animal Cutiefly, sweet and spherical rodent Togedemaru, and the powerful, shapeshifting amoeba Zygarde, which is to be one of the game's ultimate Pokémon. In addition, The Pokémon Company officially revealed a Koala-style Komala and the puppy-featured Rockruff via Nintendo's site for "Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon."

The website also teased upcoming info on "moves more powerful than any seen before, adventures in uncharted locations, and many more delights just waiting to be explored."

One image, named Stoutland, appeared to showed a player character riding a Pokémon, a returning feature introduced in previous entries "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y."

Following rumors and leaks about the new Pokémon, Nintendo released a Japanese-language trailer on June 30, with the reel reaching over 2.6m views after little more than a day of availability.
