Spotify is reportedly poised to launch a video streaming service, that will be available on Android beginning this week.

That's according to The Wall Street Journal, which reported that the Swedish music-streaming service will roll out video streaming to users in the US, UK, Germany and Sweden first on Android, then on iOS devices by the end of the week. The company had said in May 2015 that they were planning to expand operations by serving up video content, in addition to their standard offerings. Videos are expected to come from content providers such as ESPN, Comedy Central, the BBC, Vice Media and Maker Studios.

The report also mentions that Spotify has been testing it's video streaming services, over the past few months, with a miniscule number of users; less than 10 percent. This has largely involved hosting short clips, the likes of which cable talk shows post as teasers on their respective YouTube channels. The company has reportedly also been experimenting with serving clips based on the user's music interests.
