Panasonic India today announced the release of its security-oriented smartphone, the Eluga Mark. Available at Rs 11,990, the Eluga Mark comes enabled with enhanced privacy features such as a fingerprint sensor and Android-For-Work for enhanced IT security and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) support that facilitates using personal devices securely on a corporate network.
With smartphone users increasingly storing and accessing sensitive business and personal data on their devices, Panasonic’s latest offering comes with added protection for personal accounts and cloud data. The fingerprint touch sensor allows single-touch access for users to configure up to eight different fingerprints on a single device.
The Eluga Mark is based on a 5.5-inch IPS display, powered by Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Octa Core processor. It packs 2GB of RAM along with 16GB internal memory (expandable to 32GB via microSD). On the photography front, there’s a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. Equipped with 4G/LTE connectivity, the dual SIM model runs on a 2500mAh battery. The phone is available in either a Royal Gold or Metallic Grey finish.
The Eluga Mark uses its own FitHome user interface, which is distinctive in its single thumb-flick access to applications on the home screen.
The phone will be available starting today at all retail and online outlets
