Motorola Moto G3 to get Marshmallow 6.0 update

Motorola India announced on 30 December on their Twitter account that users would get the Marshmallow.

Moto G3 users are in for a pleasant surprise as Motorola has announce that their flagship is to get the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.

Motorola India announced on 30 December on their Twitter account, “Here is something new and amazing for your Moto G (3rd Gen.), the Android 6.0 Marshmallow!”

US and canadian users were among the first to get their hand on the latest update for Moto G (Gen 3), about a month ago. The Marshmallow update will require at least 2GB to install. If the update hasn't started installing already, you can check for the update manually via Settings > About Phone > System Update.

Android Marshmallow brings some new features to the table along with a few revamps such as  access google now by holding the home button. App will ask permission before using data, you can also see what permissions you have given to each app. A fingerprint scanner has been directly integrated to the operating system. A battery saving mode that aims at prolonging the battery life of your mobile phone in standby called Doze and Android Pay, a mobile payment system.

The Moto G ( Gen 3) comes equipped with a 5-inch HD display and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with a 1.4GHz quad-core processor .This will be paired with either a 1GB of RAM for the 8GB storage variant and 2GB RAM for the 16GB storage variant. It also has a 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP front camera for selfies. The Moto G will has a dual SIM configuration and supports 4G SIM. The phone is also powered by a  2,470mAh capacity battery.
