Whether it's a birthday or a special trip, we usually take countless pictures when we want to share a memory with family and friends or savour them for later. Facebook’s new update 360 photo update lets you do just that with a single click.

Similar to 360 videos that Facebook rolled a few months ago, 360 photos have the same mechanics. You can tilt your smartphone to view or use your finger to scroll through the photo. Mark Zuckerberg even announced that the photos can be viewed in virtual reality.

in a post on his official Facebook account Zuckerberg points out that the major difference between 360 videos and 360 photos is how easy it is to take a 360 photo.

“Just take a panorama or use a 360 camera app, then post it to Facebook and we'll take care of the rest,” said Zuckerberg.
