Google has just rolled out a new tool that let’s you obsess over your internet renown.

When you Google yourself, if you’re logged into your Google account, a widget pops up in Search, providing you with a direct link to your account settings. The new feature, however, is less about what you do, and more about what other people say about you.

Now, if you scroll right to the bottom of the page of those results of your name, you’re presented with a widget that allows you to set up an email alert whenever someone mentions you on the internet. It works just like your standard Google Alerts, which have been a feature since 2003. You can define how often you get a notification email in a day, what sources those mentions are from, language and region, etc.

The feature was demonstrated last month, but the feature is finally live and ready to go.
