Continuing the tradition of making exclusive doodles on special occasions, Google celebrated India's Republic Day with a colourful doodle on its homepage.

The doodle has a tableau that represents men and women at the India Gate parade waving at the crowd. The tableau features two of India's most important monuments, India Gate and Rashtrapati Bhavan. It is decorated with flowers, the Google logo is inscribed in yellow at the bottom and the tableau is shown as passing through the parade.

The Republic Day parade is a highlight this year as the US President Barack Obama is the Chief Guest on this Day.

This is not the first time that Google has celebrated India's Republic Day. In the past Google has come up with as many as 5 Republic Day doodles.

The above doodle was the Google homepage on January 26, 2014. It represents the mighty Indian Army in their traditional balancing act.

Portraying India's national animal Tiger, Google Doodle was put up for the Republic Day in 2013.

Showing respect to the children who won bravery awards on January 26, 2012, Google Doodle showed children having elephant rides.
