Golden Temple not being replicated, says MCGSA

The Management Committee of Gurdwara Sachkhand Angitha Sahib (MCGSA) on Friday vehemently denied that any attempt was being made to create a structure replicating the Golden Temple (Harmandhar Sahib)in Sangrur district of Punjab.
      

In a letter submitted to the Akal Takht (highest Sikh temporal seat) head of the MCGSA, Sadhu Singh said, "It is cheap and petty thoughts of some political people including Shriomani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), Amritsar that there was an attempt to create a replica of Golden Temple in Sangrur district of Punjab.
      
Commenting on the ongoing construction work at Sangrur, Sadhu Singh claimed that it was merely aimed for facelift and kind of renovation of dilapidated structure of the Gurdwara Sachkhand Angitha Sahib.
      
Singh wrote to the Akal Takht after its Jathedar Gyani Gurbachan Singh asked the SGPC to call a meeting of all Sikh religious bodies on June 20 on the issue.
