Congress today lodged a complaint with EC against former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje and some leaders of state government employees union for alleged violation of model code during assembly and parliamentary elections in the state.
   
According to the party release, a delegation met chief election officer Vinod Zutshi and demanded action against Raje and BJP state unit president Om Prakash Mathur for publishing saffron party advertisements in local newspapers on December 4, 2008 and May 7, 2009.
   
The delegation also demanded action against All Rajasthan State Employees Joint Federation (United) president Mahendra Singh and vice-president Abu Bakar Naqvi for appealing to the people to vote for BJP through newspaper advertisements during assembly and parliamentary elections.
   
They also alleged that no action was taken against the leaders even though the Congress had earlier lodged a complaint, the release added.
