75-year-old woman killed by leopard in Surat

A 75-year-old woman was killed by a leopard at Vegi village of Mandvi taluka here, police said today.
     
Though the incident occured on Monday night, it was reported by the family members of the woman today, they said. The woman was sleeping in the verandah of her house when the leopard attacked her and dragged her into the forest, police said.
     
According to police, the family members told them that they did not report the incident to forest or police officials as there was a wedding scheduled after a couple of days.
