Mild earthquake hits Shillong

A mild earthquake shook the Meghalaya Capital on Tuesday morning but there was no report of any damage or casualty.

A mild earthquake shook the Meghalaya Capital on Tuesday morning but there was no report of any damage or casualty.

The Met office said the quake measured 2.5 on the Richter scale and its epicentre was located 13 km away from the Central Seismological Observatory in Upper Shillong here.

The quake was felt at around 7.47 am, sources said.
