A man allegedly killed his two minor children by throwing them in a well following a tiff with his wife over a trivial issue in Bihar's Jehanabad district, police said on Sunday.

The bodies of the two minors - identified as Gauri Kumari (three and half year) and Chandan Kumar (one year)- were on Sunday recovered from a well in Phikraur village, sub-inspector at Tehta outpost, Shambunath Rai said.

Rai said that one Gyanti Devi has lodged an FIR against her husband Ajay Yadav and his nephew Rajesh alias Shyam, resident of Ganga Sagar village, for allegedly throwing her two minors into a well.

The police have arrested Rajesh alias Shyam in this connection but could not arrest Ajay Yadav as he was absconding, Rai said.

The police said that Gyanti Devi in her FIR alleged that her husband in collusion with his nephew Rajesh threw her children into a well in Phikraur village on April 24 when she came back from her maternal house.

The police was investigating the case from all angles and was not solely banking on Gyanti Devi's statement, the sub-inspector said.
