BJP president Rajnath Singh has missed by a whisker the tag of being a crorepati.
    
His affidavit submitted along with his nomination form on Friday to the Returning Officer of Ghaziabad Lok Sabha constituency shows his total assets add upto Rs 79.85 lakh while his wife Savitri owns assets worth Rs 17.75 lakh. The total adds up to Rs 97.60 lakh.

Singh owns a house in Vipul Khand, Lucknow, measuring 272 metre and valued at Rs 55 lakh.
 
He seems to have a liking for Fixed Deposits and has several of them. Singh has one FD worth Rs 15.32 lakh in SBI, Delhi and his wife has one worth Rs 1.38 lakh in the same bank.
    
In SBI, Lucknow, Singh has a FD worth Rs 98,000, another in Corporation Bank, Lucknow, worth Rs 33,000 while Savitri has a FD worth Rs 2.37 lakh.

The former Union Minister has a FD worth Rs 2.22 lakh in Bank of Baroda, Lucknow while his wife has FD worth Rs 1.40 lakh.

Singh has another FD in Bank of Baroda, Lucknow, worth Rs 1.30 lakh. Another Rs 3.40 lakh has been put in a FD in Bank of India, Lucknow.

Rajnath Singh, a former Uttar Pradesh chief minister, has a gold ring worth Rs 75,000 and weighing 50 gm. His wife owns 700gm gold and 12kg silver ornaments, both valued Rs 12.50 lakh.
 
The MSc from Gorakhpur University, who espouses the cause of farmers, owns no agricultural land.
 
Singh has Rs 55,000 in cash while his wife Rs 10,000.
