Four people were killed and eight, including a Gujarat high court judge, injured in a road accident at Morbi on Saturday.

Four people were killed and eight, including a Gujarat high court judge, injured in a road accident at Morbi on Saturday. The accident took place near Harbatiyali village on the Rajkot-Morbi highway. The judge and the other injured have been admitted to a Rajkot hospital.

The Innova car of Justice JR Vora a justice, a resident of 23 Judges' Bungalow in Ahmedabad, who along with his family members was going to Bhachau from Rajkot, collided with the Accent car of Piyush Merja, an industrialist associated with electric device production.

Merja along with his friends was going to Rajkot RTO office to procure some papers for his recently-bought car. Merja's three friends - Dilip Vasia (25), Navneet Bhimani (20) and Nitin Kagthara (25) - breathed their last on the spot while Merja (25) and his friends - Rajesh and Nayan - were rushed to Rajkot hospital in a critical condition.

Justice Vora, his wife, mother, son, his chauffeur and an employee, who received injuries in the accident.
