Three armed criminals were arrested by special operation group (SOG) from Chandkheda circle in the city on Monday night. According to police, they are notorious criminals and had been recently released from jail. The SOG personnel said that the criminals were planning a major abduction and were arrested on a tip-off.

A pistol and two cartridges were recovered from the outlaws. Sources said the arrested criminals were planning to kidnap a cricket bookie and a share broker for ransom.
