The Rajasthan unit of Congress on Sunday ruled out reports of former cricket captain Mohammad Azharuddin being fielded on a party ticket from the state.

"Yeh sab media ki upaj hai...congress ne kahan kaha...(It is media speculation, Congress never said this), PCC president CP Joshi told reporters at a luncheon meet here on the occasion of completion of 100-days of Gehlot government.

Joshi's comments came after sources yesterday said that Azharuddin might contest Parliamentary polls from Tonk-Sawaimadhopur seat in the state on a Congress ticket.

When asked whether the party would field the former cricketer from Tonk-Sawaimadhopur, Joshi said, "It is your question, your reply...party has nothing to commit or say".

On the pressure by independent MLA Kirorilal Meena, whose wife Golma Devi is a state minister, over distribution of tickets to Meena caste candidates, he said, "Party never come under the pressure of any caste...Independents including Meena and his wife are giving support to the Gehlot government...we welcome their suggestions".

"Congress has not insulted any of the Meena community, including Kirorilal...everyone is free to approach the party high command and Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Kirorilal has met Gandhi and can meet her again with any of his suggestions," he said.

Hailing 100-days of Gehlot government, Joshi said, "BJP's misrule has ended and good governance has prevailed".

Able, transparent, and accountable government headed by Ashok Gehlot as chief minister was fulfilling public aspirations and agenda of manifesto, he said.

PCC has put up a target to win all Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan on plank of UPA government's all round policies and projects including NREGA, Mid-day meal, PM Sadak yojna, he added.

Rajasthan has 25 Lok Sabha constituencies.
