The Deccan Chargers' team management on Wednesday said it was not disappointed with the Union Home Ministry's decision to shoot down the proposal of hosting some of the Indian Premier League matches at Visakhapatnam.

The Charges had mooted the port city as venue along side Hyderabad for the second edition of the IPL.

However, owing to the Lok Sabha elections, the Centre had ruled that it would not be able to provide security for the Twenty20 tournament, forcing the organisers to drop Visakhapatnam.

Deccan Chargers' team management said it was ready to host whatever matches are allotted.

"Deccan Chargers are happy to host the allotted matches," Venkat Reddy, Vice-President (Operations) of Deccan Chargers said.

In the revised schedule presented to the Union Home Ministry on Tuesday, New Delhi and Jaipur were the other two cities that were left out from hosting the tournament.
