Former governor of Jammu and Kashmir Lt Gen (retd) SK Sinha has returned to haunt the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Sinha’s remark calling the PDP “spokesman of militants” has triggered a political row in Kashmir.

During the release of his new book, Guarding India’s integrity, in Delhi on Monday, Sinha said when the  PDP-led government was in power from 2002 to 2005, then J&K chief minister Mufti
Mohammad Sayeed acted like a puppet in the hands of militants.

“Several PDP leaders were hand-in-glove with militants. Lashkar-e-Toiba militants, who carried out the suicide attack on Akshardam temple in Gujarat, had used Abdul Aziz Zargar’s ancestral house in Kashmir,” he said.

The PDP hit back at Sinha saying “his sick mind has already caused a huge damage to the state. It seems Sinha wants to promote his book among his communal readers,” party spokesperson said.
