The Chand-Fiza love saga took another turn on Monday with the second wife of former Haryana deputy chief minister Chander Mohan filing a police complaint accusing him of "rape, hurting religious sentiments, cheating, defamation and criminal intimidation."

Amid reports that Chand Mohammed, the son of former chief minister Bhajan Lal had gone abroad, Anuradha Bali alias Fiza, a former Haryana assistant advocate general, filed the criminal complaint before the Punjab Police and also sent copies of it to the National Women Commission, Punjab State Human Rights Commission and Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

Taking cognizance of her complaint, Mohali's senior superintendent of police(SSP) Jatinder Singh Aulakh has ordered an inquiry into the complaint and asked SP (City) Varinder Pal Singh to personally probe and submit him the report at the earliest.

"We will proceed as per law," the SSP told PTI, while adding that Fiza has been asked to separately approach Punjab 's additional director general of police (Security) for seeking security cover.

Fiza alleged that Chand's act of marrying her by converting to Islam was just aimed at committing fraud and having sexual relations with her.

"Our marriage, which was never intended to last long, was only a camouflaging fact that marriage had taken place giving him right to have sexual intercourse with me, to which he was not otherwise entitled," noted Chand's 'estranged second wife', while attributing it as "rape'"

Recently, Fiza had made an alleged suicide bid, which she denied later, when Chand Mohammed left her all of a sudden without informing her. Even senior Congress leader Moti Lal Vora on Sunday had expressed his inability to tell the whereabouts of his party colleague.

Two months ago, Chander Mohan, created a sensation when he changed his name to Chand Mohammed and announced his marriage to Anuradha after both said they had adopted Islam.

In her complaint, Fiza submitted that she came into contact with the 43-year-old Chand in 2004 when he was elected MLA for fourth time in Haryana and he kept on following her everywhere besides visiting her residence in Sector 48-C, Mohali, till she married him in December 2008.

"Chand started showing that he is in love with me but I denied the proposal and kept on denying as he was married with Seema Bishnoi having three children," she recalled.

Fiza claimed that Chand kept on visiting her trying to convince her that he was not having good relations and terms with his wife and even his son Siddarath used to 'beat' him.

"Chand kept on convincing me and went to such an extent that he told me that he would die if I would not marry him as he was suffering a lot of mental torture and agony at the hands of his wife and children," she averred.

Fiza alleged receiving threatening calls from Chand's family ever since she started protesting against him.

Seeking registration of a FIR under Section 376 (rape), 420 (cheating), 295-A (hurting religious sentiments), 500 (defamation) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC, Fiza concluded that she was deeply hurt physically, mentally and religiously. "I have lost everything and am unable to face society," she noted.

Apprehending that Chand along with his family may try to run away abroad to avoid legal action, Fiza also sought security with immediate effect.

"Chand took my consent for intercourse by making me believe him as my husband as following our marriage, I started cohabiting and behaving with him in routine as his wife at my Mohali flat," she said.

"The consent for such sexual intercourse came to be given on many days when he had intercourse with me naturally believing and treating me as his wife," she further alleged in her complaint.

Chand also convinced her, says Fiza in the complaint that he would convert to Islam as she had great faith in Islam and would go for 'ibadat' at Nau Gaja Peer in Manimajra.
